What Do I Need to Start Selling Online in Peru? A 2026 Checklist

A practical checklist for selling online in Peru in 2026: RUC, electronic receipts, Yape, Plin and card payments, WhatsApp, Google Maps, ads and measurement. Plus the order that saves money: validate first, then set up, then operate.

Selling online in Peru is less about technology than it looks. Most of what you need already exists and costs little on its own. What trips new businesses up is the order: they build the expensive part first and only then find out whether anyone wants to buy. This checklist covers what you need, grouped by stage, and the sequence we recommend so you spend money in the right order.

The Order That Saves Money: Validate, Set Up, Operate

The most expensive mistake is building the full store, the brand and the content before knowing whether the offer attracts customers at a price that works. We recommend three stages.

Validate (about three weeks)

Put the offer in front of real people with a temporary page and a small ad budget, around S/800 to S/1,200 paid by you to Meta and Google. Measure what one inquiry costs and how many of those people are real buyers. If the number does not work, you find out for the price of a test, not a full launch.

Set up (about eight weeks)

With the number in hand, build what the checklist above describes: brand, store or booking, payments, receipts, WhatsApp with an assistant, Google Maps, ads and the dashboard. Set a launch date in writing.

Operate (every month)

Selling online is not a project you finish. Every month someone adjusts the ads, publishes content, answers and follows up, and reports how many orders, appointments or quotes came in. Without this stage, everything you built in the previous one slowly stops working.

Doing It Yourself or With a Team

You can absolutely do this yourself, step by step, and many owners do. The cost is your time and the learning curve on ads and tools. The alternative is a team that sets up and operates the whole selling side for you. That is what Qolca does: Validation for S/2,200 (credited toward the setup), a setup of S/4,500 to S/8,500, and monthly operation from S/3,900 plus IGV, with everything in your name from day one. We do not promise sales; we commit to the work, the dates and a report on the 5th of each month.
